The meeting on employment work for the graduates of Grade 2007 was held by Tianshi College on May 10^th, 2007. The president, Sunming attended the meeting chaired by vice-president Liuzhiming. Deputy-dean, Mr. Liuyuhua and Ms Zhangnan from the admissions&employment office; deputy-deans of all the departments taking charge of the students’ affairs and instructors were also present.

   Vice-president Liuzhiming opened the meeting with conveying the spirit of 《Notification of promoting earnestly the employment work for 2007’s graduates of universities and colleges》，as well as the speech made by Minister Zhouji, Minister of the Ministry of Education on the telephone conference on the employment work for 2007’s graduates of universities and colleges.

Vice-president Liuzhiming, based on the analysis of the current situation of employment for Tianshi’s graduates, pointed out that the number of this year’s graduates increases by a small margin. At the same time, the demand for these graduates from Tianshi Group will be greater than last year. Under this circumstance, everyone is requested to do his job well to promote the employment work, make every effort to assist the graduates in their employment work. Mr. Liuzhiming also made some requests for the current work:

1.      To learn and comprehend thoroughly the importance of Document No.26 issued by General Office of the States Council, implementing the spirit in an all-round way.

2.      To offer a helping hand for the graduates enthusiastically, thoroughly and carefully.

3.      To strengthen the ideological work for the graduates to guide and activate the graduates to the grass-roots units for their development.

President Sunming delivered an important speech at the meeting, stressing the great concern over the appraisal and assessment of Tianshi College, the level of running the school and the enrollment. Furthermore, he voiced his opinions of the following aspects:

   1. Set a definite goal of the employment rate of 2007’s graduates: 95% will be the margin of the employment.

   2. As for those graduates who haven’t found jobs, they are to be marked in their documents of appraisal.

   3. The admissions&employment office should take initiative to search more working units for them.

   4. In consideration of the different situations between each department, a conference is to be held toward the end of May. The departments which have done better in employment work are requested to share their experience with and offer their helping hands to other departments.

   5. A relevant employment system of rewards and penalties will be established to reward the advanced departments, instructors, the teachers in charge of these classes.
