In the afternoon of April 6th, 2007 the college held a meeting for the teaching evaluation to promote construction. Vice-president Liu Zhiming made a speech calling upon teachers and clerks to get together to participate in the teaching evaluation. Li Yangwei, assistant president, hosted the meeting. The deans of the departments and the members of evaluation office were also present---introducing their experience in the evaluation work. The meeting was held successfully.

Vice-president Liu Zhiming pointed out that the evaluation work is still on the process of quality improving.

Vice-president Liu Zhiming analyzed the evaluation items in detail according to the actual situation of our college. It was very difficult to achieve the aims of grade A. At the same time, he also noticed that the favorable conditions of reaching the aim of grade A or B in some items were still to come. Vice-president Liu Zhiming pointed out that the evaluation needs every person’s effort, especially the directors of the research group and study offices. They are the main power of the evaluation. He called on everyone to try his best to finish the essential work before the summer holiday. Vice-president Liu Zhiming encouraged to fulfill the following:

1. Everyone should love the Party; love our motherland, loyal to the education as well as the Tianshi College. This is because of the important status of Tianshi College .The students and the teachers will all benefit from the development of the Tianshi College. Every one should try his best to make contribution to the college.

2. Every one should obey the leaders support the decision and order of the leaders.

3. Every one should own the spirit of donation and the sense of responsibility. The more responsibility, the more confidence you will have. Tianshi College is the base of our life, our study, our working. It is the right place to achieve individual values. It is the home of sprits.

The deans of the four departments introduced the evaluation process, ways and schedule for the evaluation. Professor Wang Shoumao, dean of computer science department, summarized how to write the major analysis.
